We were very sad to hear the news that retired Episcopal Bishop, the Right Reverend Thomas C. Ely, had died on August 30, 2025. He was a great friend of Christ Church Guilford and, in fact, has had a green burial in the cemetery.
Christ Church Guilford is owned by the Trustees of the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont and is the Mother Church of St. Michael’s, Brattleboro. We are so grateful to Bishop Tom for his service to the Diocese, St. Michael’s and Christ Church, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Tom’s name to one of the following organizations, or to another meaningful to you:
